Children

Sunday School of Religion
By virtue of Baptism, parents are the primary teachers of the Christian faith to their children. To assist parents in this task, the parish offers classes in religious education for kindergarten through twelfth grade. Religious education takes place on Sunday following the 9:30am Mass, from 10:45 to 11:45am, and runs from October through May.

First Holy Communion
Receiving the Holy Eucharist is a milestone in the life of every Catholic. The Sacrament of Penance is closely tied to the Eucharist, enabling us to offer the Sacrifice of Mass more worthily, and to receive Holy Communion more fruitfully.

Normally, First Penance and First Holy Communion take place during second grade. This requires that students have first regularly attended religious education classes during first grade. These sacraments can be received at other times as well, according to the circumstances of each child.
