ROMAN MISSAL
THE LORD BE WITH YOU.
AND WITH YOUR SPIRIT.

The prayers and responses used at Mass in English are about to change: the new Roman Missal will debut on the First Sunday of Advent (November 27, 2011).

An in-depth explanation of the changes can be found on the Roman Missal website of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (http://www.usccb.org/romanmissal).

To help prepare for the new translation of Mass, the parish has launched the "Four-for-Four" program. Throughout the year, Father Tony will provide simple, five-minute instructions on the changes immediately after weekend Masses. (The program is called “Four-for-Four” because there will be four instructions on each of the four major parts of Mass: Introductory Rites, Liturgy of the Word, Liturgy of the Eucharist, and Concluding Rites.)

The instructions that have already taken place can be accessed here:

Introductory Rites
    •Greeting
    •Penitential Act
    •Gloria
    •Collect (Opening Prayer)

Liturgy of the Word
    •Prayer of the Faithful
    •Creed (part 1)
    •Creed (part 2)
